Title: overheating mk2 8v
Post by: pj2004 on 10 January 2012, 22:00
hello,

It is my first post so I am sorry if I have put this in the wrong place. I have tryed searching but to no avail.
I have recently bought a mk2 gti 8v, the problem I am having is the radiator fan does not come on and now the temp light goes all the way into the red and the light flashes despite the car just starting up.
P.s I would like to get my hands dirty but am totally clueless if I have to be honest. You have to start some where right?

PJ

try changing the sensor on the radiator that controls the fan to come on.
