does it happen gradually or will it suddenly be ok?
has anyone got one / had one?
-
Ive got a kevlar clutch and a new sachs dual mass flywheel fitted to my remapped tdi 130. It has had about 1500 miles on it now and feels good.
Still have a few issues with my clutch/flywheel but not really sure its down to being kevlar.
doesnt feel any different from standard if your conerned about getting one.

Got one fitted just over week ago.done 300 miles but its still not fully bedded in. It drives
Like normal one but how long did yours take to settle down

when you say still got issues....such as what?
I had new clutch and flywheel in september - 4000miles and it's gone weak
so had another new one fitted but opted for kevlar drive plate this time in hope it would be more robust.
I'm hoping it settles down soon - can't afford to keep getting gearbox out at £130 a time
-
What £130 to take out and re-fit the gearbox?
If so thats a bargain

friends in the trade
but my last clutch should have lasted more than 4 months
i don't even drive it hard that often.
Now i'm driving like miss daisy waiting for a miracle !

issues i have are mainly vibration, changed engine mounts and bolts, which did improve but still not right. clutch just feels wrong, it sort of growls as you pull away but when you get it going its fine.
going back to have it re bleed tomorrow and a general look over, as apart from the slipping i was better of with the old one. which annoys me after thinking how much ive spent on dual mass, clutch, bearing and fitting.

In sept I changed flywheel and clutch. 4000 miles and it started slipping. New one fitted and opted for kevlar drive plate. 850 miles now and still not fully bedded in. No judder just pi55ing me off that I can,t drive it properly still

done just over 1000 miles now and finally starting to settle down
was starting to loase the will to live - it's hard having all that power and not being able to use it.....
:undecided:
