Title: Leaving rained on polish over night (garaged)

Cutting the story short. I polished the car. Then moved on to the wheels so it could dry then buff. But it started to drizzle and got wet. Water did seem to bead, but will it be ok to leave and dry out? Do I need to wash it off and polish it again?

Problem also is it might take couple of days to dry.

I want to wax it too.

Use a detailer spray to help take it off and it'll be fine.

So should I take it off and not let it dry?
 Then buff the polish off?

Tough one. Umm, you finished putting on the polish then moved onto the wheels? Should polish not be taken off almost straight away, ie working with 1 panel at a time?

I'd go with running a drying towel over the car to remove as much water as poss then buff it off. See how that goes...

He's right. You should work on one panel, or part of a panel at a time. Working the product until it's completely broken down and all but gone, then a light buff to remove the residue. Covering the whole car then buffing it off when it's gone hard will cause all kinds of swirls. The sort that you may not see in the light at this time of year, but just wait till the sun hits it.

Came off fine  :smiley: I took some pics to show.

after I took the pics I waxed it and then done wheels and trim etc.
