Title: Years Held...??
Post by: mervinking on 08 January 2012, 21:50
Hello i was just wondering when getting a quote where it says license held... does that include the years youve had a provisional license aswell ??

for example when i was doing an aviva quote it says

"Please tell us how long they have held a valid UK or European Union driving licence (starting from when they were issued with a provisional licence). They must be able to provide a copy of their driving licence documents if required"

just wondering is this the same for all companies ???

Oh damn... surely driving in lessons when you have your provisional gives you driving experience... thats why aviva has listed this... may be a recent change but im hoping most companies see it this way aswell that way i can finally get insured

Most companies ask how long you have had a full UK drivers licence.

^^^ what he said.

My wife has held a Provisional Driving Licence for 15 years. Doesn't mean diddly squat in the world of Insurance.  :lipsrsealed:

Well for those people who are looking for insurance aviva might work out cheaper because of the provisional stuff .... might be abit of a flaw but it still works
