Post by: jamrock on 05 January 2012, 15:18
900 minutes and 500 texts for £30.64 a month (18 months)

the above deal is with t mobile.

not too sure if its any good. i am currently on 600 mins unlitmed text and internet and pay about £35 a month.

i went over my allownace by 300 mins and t mobile charged me £80
i not happy about it, and to top it off they said we can not cap ur bill you have to keep an eye on it. how hard is it to just stop my phone!!!

anyone have any ideas on cheap deals. i will tell t mobile that if i dont get a good deal in the renewal stage coming up, im gone!!

Are you upgrading your phone or keeping the same one along with renewal?

If not then try GiffGaff. My contract with Vodafone is up in 3 months, I'm keeping my iPhone 4 for sometime now and will get a GiffGaff sim which runs on the O2 network, and for £10 you get 250 mins, unlimited text and unlimited internet. They do have other options if you want more minutes.

http://giffgaff.com/index/offer

£15 a month will get you 400 minutes.

GiffGaff is fantastic but there is no phone number you can call if you have problems. That put me off quite a bit.

Im on £20.50 a month for 600mins, unlimited texts, and 1GB of web on O2. Tesco do the same contract for £15 on a 3month rolling contract.

GiffGaff is community run though, so why would you need to ring them?

You ever been on the forum they have? It's over run with people requesting help with signal problems, internet access problems, top-up problems.

adam the o2 deal sounds good. i went over 600 mins and thats what caused my bill to jump high this month. tesco do phones i never thought about them.

plus alot of the deals are for 2yr contracts. that is a scam, try to lock you in so you cant do anything about it

Well I shall investigate lol!

I don't want to be tied down to a contract again, had enough of that. Vodafone were my last ones with the iPhone 4 but that was only a year, I'll buy the phone outright from now on.

Are you looking for sim only deals jamrock?

sim only sounds the deal for me as im happy with my htc desire.

although the appeal of having a new phone is strong!!!!!

Giffgaff got super deals tho, just had a pick look.

is it a contract or do you topup and enyjoy the mins/text package you opt for??

With GiffGaff you top up online, e-pay in a shop or buy an o2 voucher.

it all boils down to if i want to keep my HTC desire or not :undecided:

once i start work i wont really be using the minutes as much, sitting at home is what has driven up my phone bill
