Title: Which Battery terminals?
Post by: Seanl on 05 January 2012, 14:39
Can anyone recommend which battery terminals are best, and/or a link to some decent ones please.
I don't have any ancillaries like ICE running from them so don't need ones specific for that (although I have an uprated lighting loom so some sort of additional connection would be good). I don't know which would be best of copper/gold plated/platinum/standard soft steel etc etc..... Would like a set that are reasonably priced as well as aesthetically pleasing. Help appreciated, cheers folks.

Silver has the highest electrical conductivity of any metal, followed closely by copper, gold, and aluminum.

Yes but silver corrodes unlike gold.

True, but its more of a tarnish, than corrosion.

Think I may go Gold then. Conductivity should be relatively good, won't tarnish or corrode, and will bling up the bay a bit! Had a quick look on the bay, but almost all are manufactured with installs in mind, so are a bit bulky with so many additional connection points. Will keep looking though, cheers guys.
