Title: BMN Engine Code Query

Hi all,

A friend of mine is interested in buying a MK5 GT TDI Golf with an engine code of BMN - the trouble is on 1 document it says 140bhp and another it says 170bhp..

Could anyone confirm which power a BMN engine is?

the engine code bmn is 170 bhp with dpf. There is a way of telling by which engine cover is fitted if it is one piece its a 140bhp and if its in 2 pieces its a 170bhp
