Title: Police markers on cars
Post by: bobbarley on 04 January 2012, 02:09
How long does a marker stay on a car for?  I'm guessing for good?

Got pulled for speeding months back, but managed to get away with no points etc.  Since then I have the sneaking suspicion the police added a marker to my vehicle.  I've been followed on two occasions since then, each time for a few miles before the police car peeled off.  Tonight of the way back from hospital I got followed again, all the way home!  Didn't know it was a police car at the time but was sticking to speed limits anyway.  Pulled up to the car park to my flat and he slowed down as he drove past, getting a look at me through the window.

Case of just suck it up I suppose?  Annoys me, feel like a criminal

You're paranoid.  Stop worrying about it.

There is no marker, sometimes the police will be behind you.  Deal with it.

Who knows, maybe you've annoyed a local copper, in which case you're screwed until he finds his next candidate for victimisation.

Markers last a while but are only really for things like drugs and violent behaviour.
