Title: £250 later and a set of HT leads......
Post by: Bellend on 03 January 2012, 22:33
Got a 1.6 MK4.

Whether it's a keeper or a seller I'm not too sure yet. Was a nice drive home................. til I went round a roundabout.

Does need some TLC though! In like a dragon green colour, not pearl though.

Yeah will be a seller sooner or later anyway as I'm deffo getting a TDI in April, I need a diesel and the MK4 is so nice in derv form.

Just whether I keep it now or sell it straight away.

I tried getting pictures but couldn't get any under a street light they were still too dark.

Body roll like mad! Then again the MK3 is about 20mm from the floor.

Price for what?

The 1.6 reckon round 7-800ish after a bit of tidying up. Door needs a bit of paint. Other then that just a good polish.

Hoping to save about £2k myself for the TDi and by that time hopefully we'll be in a new house and mum and dad will give me up to £2k towards car and insurance as I'm running two siblings about every day.

Hopefully put a grand of that to insurance and pay that off, maybe spend £2.5 on the car and then use the £500 to wheels or coilovers. Will save a bit more for those though. Probably be a wagon though.

Does the 1.6 not have ignition coils for each cylinder then?

Poor pics, barely had any time.

Not too fussed, will be having a big clean up and a bit of body work then be sold.
