Can anyone tell me how to change the display colour from amber to green?

you can't
they came in either green or amber
the only way is to get a replacement facia with amber illumination (good luck with that)

Bugger = friend of mine thought they could be changed.

I have amber at the moment the search for green commences :-)

was it the standard tape deck in the MK3??? with the multichanger option? I've got one of those in my loft still

Yep that's the one - mine has the changer in the boot - all works fine just prefer the green look rather than the amber.

Mine was changeable. Under some sub menu somewhere. Have a good fiddle.

maybe hold and press number 6 for 5-10 secs if not try them all  :smiley:

Tried number 6 press and held and stored station lol

Tried it with radio off but no luck tried all the buttons on the front panel and no luck.

Mine says XR-C220 on the front.
