Title: Hi, noob alert!!!
Post by: Col_M on 13 May 2005, 14:33
Hi,
I've just been browsing for a few days now and i thought i'd say hi now because i could be the newest golf owner as of tomorrow afternoon  I'm going to see a '96 P VR6, 5 door in red and i'm dead excited because i didn't think i'd be able to afford anything like a VR6 as i'm 24 and it's my first car, the car itself is advertised at £3k and the insurance is £860 fully comp
Anyway i'm sure if i end up getting it i'll have a few questions and need some advice from you guys
See you around, Col

Thanks for the welcome guys

Does this sound a good price for the car itself?
'96 P, 5 door
100K miles (almost exactly)
2 owners from new, last owner had it from '99 and has done 45k in it
Clifford alarm "with extras" dunno what extras but i'll find out when i see it
no modifications
the guy said up until he had it it's had a VW service history, he's serviced it himself since
electric bits and bobs, mirrors, sunroof, windows etc
1 month tax left, MOT due in Nov
all for £3000

i'm taking my cousin who is a mechanic so he'll check it out mechanically, in pics i have it looks really clean and it top condition, so fingers crossed :)
