Title: Won't start - oil light on - help!

I've searched the forums as I'm sure there would be something similar in there, but ... not quite.  Haven't driven the car for a couple of days, came to start it this morning, it turns over fine - and if I keep the throttle on it sort of turns over as well ("chugs") but won't start.

Oil light is on - checked oil.

Fuel pump primes when I turn the key.

Somewhat at a loss now!

Dampness??? Spray it with Loads of WD40 & see if that helps...

Yep done that! Still nothing although it did start briefly and then died. Oil light still flashing.

Edit:  Finally started (possibly was the damp!) but still got the oil light ...
