Hi Everyone,
Ok so I have purchased these fog lights about 3 monthes ago:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK4-98-04-PROJECTOR-FRONT-FOG-LIGHTS-LAMPS-PAIR-/290567718308?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item43a72f85a4
Please look at additional pics on that link for a pic of the wiring loom included
For some reason the kit did not come with a relay, so my first question is how can I find a relay that fits the white adapter and is the correct volts/amps.
I attempted to write this up today, I attached the black spade termianl to the battery negative,. The red spade terminal to the battery positive. The black and white spades to the black and white connector on both fog lights. Also the other black spade terminal (Near the switch) To a screw that I fastened this spade in place with. I did not have a relay in place at this time and was just testing it to see if it worked with the sqitch provided in the loom before moving onto attaching to thefog lights switch. (I forgot to mention I currently have fogs within the headlights)
I attempted for ages and cannot get this working. Also I have another red wire that comes from the loom connected to the switch? I am guessing this should go in the relay if used or another switch?
I cannot find the firewall that is apparently behind the gas pedal? I have followed instructions and took of the parts needed for this to be accesible, i am thinking it may be because the cars in them guides are left hand drive? As I have seen another post about the firewall being located behind the glovebox.
I have searched for a long time and cannot get the hang of this, could someibe please help?
Dave
