Title: Anyone have Yoko Pradas?
Post by: Mikester on 31 December 2011, 16:06
I had them fitted back in the summer. This week we have had a lot of rain and they are awful!

Understeer everywhere as they just don't get any grip in the wet!

Anyone else found this?

Yes I have them. I did some reading on them and they are poor in the wet. If there is any hint of rain/dampness I won't thrash it, let alone drive quickly. Just take it easy in the rain.

They are pretty gash in the wet

They great in the dry

My next set of tyres will actually be able to handle a puddle. Will not be purchasing another set!

what size? pretty sure there the same price as toyos arent they ? had toyos and rainsport 2s on my car and there both good tyres, obviously one is better in the wet.

michelin PE2s are good in the wet and last a pretty long time. although they are more expensive

They great in the dry

None of the track boys use them because they overheat and peel off rubber.

They are a sh*t tyre, by all accounts.

I've been very impressed with the T1-Rs in the wet recently (and relieved).

Still nowhere as good as the Continentals on my Passat - long lasting and just work SO well (even with The Wife at the helm).

Finding TR-1's good in the wet and dry. Except the other day I got in the car after months of not driving it, going down the motorway and car is just moving about by itself, turns out someone has knocked the tracking out on a kerb and the tyres are near on balding. One is JUST legal now as I planned on just swapping to two other wheels I had with brand new TR-1's but some pikey has stolen one!

So gonna get two winter tyres ordered and keep this as a spare.

T1-R's set up well you get average wear from them but they are cheap.. Set up bad you can get through them like no tomorrow as they so soft..

That will explain the sketchyness i felt tonight driving home.... in the rain.. Just had prada 2s fitted on the back. Ive already got them on the front. I like them in the dry tho.
