Hi,
I bought a mk1 golf gti cabrio as a winter project.
It had no fuse box, inlet manifold/throtle body, metering head, air intake pipes/ breathers.
These have now being fitted and the car finally starts, well for 5-10 seconds wont rev and cuts out does this 3-4 times then wont start for a few mins.
There is fuel to metering head and injectors (taken out and checked) .
Can anyone help?

Although there is fuel getting to the metering head and injectors, is it enough, does the fuel rate vary when the metering plate is moved up and down?
