Title: Pagid pads gap
Post by: Zayd on 30 December 2011, 23:18
Hello all,

I had standard Pagid discs and pads fitted to the front of my 99 GTI AGU.  What I've noticed is that there is a slight gap at the top of the pad, when looking at it in the caliper.  The pad does seem to narrow at the top though.  Problem is that, this issue has got stones caught between the disc and pad and has scored my discs, which were only a couple of months old.

Is this the way the pads should sit in the caliper and as I say the pads do narrow at the top for some darn reason.  This narraowing leaves a small gap, where stones can get lodged.

Hi mate,

Let me know your reg and the order number - On many VAG's there is a choice of pads, they look identical except for the measurements - this COULD be the case.
