Title: whats wrong with my car?

after changing a coreplug on my gti (2.0 agg) and filling it back up with water my red light on the tempreture gauge is constantly flashing but the water level is fine, what else could be wrong?

Mine does that,Been told i need a new expansion tank because the sensor in it is broken
