Title: Peugeot 307 starting problem
Post by: patryk92 on 28 December 2011, 20:26
Hello, i know its a vw forum but we have plenty of mechanics in here so i hope i can get some help or advice.

In my garage we have a 51 plate 307 2.0 hdi, it came in as a non starter, we have checked all the fuses, and the wiring, we have sent the ecu away to get it repaired and still no joy. we can only run it on easy start.
the fault codes don't erase for some reason. it says can bus communication error or summat like that.
we are out of ideas by now, and i hope that some one can help me.

the customer tried to jump start it after the alternator failed and it hasnt run since.

it's not putting fuel in.

check it's pumping the fuel rail up to pressure, then have a look see if it's even trying to fire the injectors.

a FAILED jump can really bugger the electonics,  decalared a tractor scrap the other day after a numptie tryed to jump start it with 24volts the wrong way round,   thats sucsessfully f**ked everyting electrical  except the radio

i done a bit of research yesterday and body control module is common fault on them.
the fuel is comming to the rail but the injectors dont fire, or only sometimes with very little power
