just back from morrisons,
done the weekly shop and needed a razor, browsing the shelf, can someone please explain to me how f**k a razor can cost £11
-
cause it's got 37 blades. a soothing balm strip and some rubber strips (f$ck knows what they're for). oh and some of them vibrate which is probably why mine smells a bit fishy sometimes.
-
think superdrug do the gilette blades cheap. like a big pack of 5 for £10 or something
-
Easily, the cheaper one s are sh!t. I bought a pack of Gillette disposables and my god they gave me the worst shaving rash I've ever had and it lasted 2 days before I could touch my neck not to mention the cuts they gave me, I only bought them because we had a big meeting at work with a large potential client and wanted to look decent, and being Gillette I thought they'd be good as I've always used Gillette Mach 3's and never had a problem with them. How wrong was I...
I don't clean shave that often so don't buy them and just use my electric shaver once or twice a week at most. Bought a pack of Mach 3 blades and got a blade for the new all singing all dancing powered 5 blade razor thing they have that fits the Mach 3, and I still prefer the Mach 3 blades for when I want a clean shave.

i have the gillette vibrator one.. fusion power ?

i have this too, pretty good, however i dont like a full clean shave, and normally just use my elevtric shaver too trim.
-
Got an electric one, a mach 3, but I mainly use the miss's disposable ones as they actually remove hair, where as the mach 3's I find go blunt way to quickly. The electric one sometimes irritates my skin so I tend not to use it much.
-
i dont often clean shave i bought some cheap ass hobo razors coupe of weeks ago witch were sh!t,
cant get on with electric shavors,
i couldnt believe it tho nearlly 12 quid. :sick:and the funny thing is all the wilkinson ones are crap one stroke and it clogged up with hair.
mach3 tree are good but then again im not paying £9 for it lol how tight am i

This is why I switched to DE shaving. 30p per blade and each one lasts me a week. Around £15 for a year's shave!
-
BIC 2 blades :lipsrsealed:

Razor's?
Razor is what?
-
Superr Doooperr Hydro something something. I just buy a new razor which ever fancy one is on offer. Last time i got one there was some crazy offer on. If you bought a can of shaving cream for 3quid you got 10quid razor and 3 blades free.... soo i bought two

It's because razor blades are the most highly stolen item from super markets... believe it or not...
-
I would use one of these if I had the chance:

However, they're quite expensive for a good one and Mrs B reckons I am too accident prone. I think she's probably got a point... I use whatever funky one is on offer. However, this may turn round and bite you - NEVER use a "King of Shaves" razor - they are utter nastiness - really cheap blunt blades + bad shaving rash. Stick to Wilkinson Sword or Gillette.

I am tempted to go down the Double Edged safety razor route, using shaving soap and a badger hair brush.. Especially as I have to shave everyday...

Best value razors are made my Boston shaving co and sold by boots under hydro brand.
Gillette brands (including Wilkinson) are made to wear out/block after after a prescribed amount of uses per blade and are 100% gimmick.
They actually developed a coating which increased the razor life by a factor of 10, this added about 0.035p per blade but would cut overall sales due to the improved performance.....
The cost of the blades to make and assemble is less than 1p, the holder is less than a pound.
The Isleworth plant made in excess of £100 million before it was shipped to Poland by P&G as it was easier than shutting the under performing Berlin plant.
Expected 5 year turn round on the move was around £600 million

I tried the double edged safety razor, f**k ME! Cut my self to ribbons. Think it takes a bit of getting used to as I believe it is a skill!
I do must shave everyday and use only these products : http://men-u.co.uk/store_products.php?list=1&cat=2&title=Shave+%26amp%3B+Skin
Shave creme is intense, the shaving brushes are brilliant. Mrs got me a real gucci set for xmas :)
Would recommend to anyone!
