I noticed this today while polishing the car.   I took it to VW and they told me that the windscreen was separating from the car and allowing mold to grow in the gap.  Got a new one on order replacing in under warranty.  Might go check yours.

I have a little bit of that too but i'm not letting them take the screen out! had a nightmare with my mk5's screen, the screens are bonded very close to the body which makes it difficult to get the cutting wire behind it, they actually cracked the screen and dented the body at the top corners! make sure your happy with the result mate before you accept it.

Edit: i should probably add that it was Auto windscreens that did it.

Hey KrazyZ,
Not sure if you're on here regularly, just wondering how you got on with getting your screen replaced? Any issues with the fitting or the new screen since?

I have exactly the same issue, think mine is even worse than your pics... and dealer has ordered a replacement screen for me too. Fitting next week I'd say.
