Title: Dash clocks - dead again!
Post by: dadrathers on 24 December 2011, 12:56
This is the second set to die on me - not a record I know but annoying all the same. They were always a bit dodgy in the summer but now the damper weather is here they hardly wok at all. Can reboot MFA and rev counter by pulling the fuse but they soon die again.

I already know all the usual things to try but what I was wondering is, has anybody had their's repaired by a car electronics specialist? Did it work and was it expensive?

Cheers.

Oh and Merry Xmas.

There is a thread on doing this somwhere but to be honest its not really worth doing. Just get a low milage set of ebay, wind the millage to what it needs to be and carry on. Just sounds like your a little unlucky

Check your earth straps... Especially the bonnet one....

Don't ask me why as I don't understand why but my Mrs clocks were all over the place until I replaced this and they work all the time & 100% - Mental BUT True!!
