Hi all
I am missing the grill badge from my 16v and it really bugs me.Where can i get one from either new or very good.
Anyone stashing one away??
-
Ebay both the UK and German one. Failing that the classifieds.
-
People charge too much money for them imo. I'd never pay more than a 10er for something some little scrote can simply pull off the grille, without tools. I got a mk3 '16v' grille badge, colour coded it to my burgandy car, so its subtle, and as its the abf engine and not an original mk2 16v its also more fitting I suppose!
-
I agree they are expensive and if i could find one for a tenner even better. Its just frustrating watching naff ones go for obscene money on gay bay.
-
I've got a half decent 8V one you could have for nout (OEM one, not with an 8V badge on it) but I guess you want an original 16V one.
If it's the latter, I'm affraid it's a case of pulling your pants down. As long as people will pay silly money for them, sellers will ask silly prices for them.
-
If you wait for a decent show there is usually a stall with new ones for a reasonable price.

Thanks for the advice guys,Dubber36 you have a pm.

Replied to.

It's still got 3 days to go as well. Who would bid stupid amounts of money so early on it the auction? Last second. That's the only way.

At the rate they are going for I think I may retire by selling mine in a few years time

Looks like Shill bidding to me... Never seen one go for that much before!!

Just Ebay muppets paying over the odds. If people are stupid enough to pay sellers ludicrous listing fees or get into daft bidding wars then more fool them IMO.
