Title: Injectors
Post by: siddleg on 19 December 2011, 22:23
Evening all

my 8v gti on a G plate seems to splutter whilst traveling slowly in traffic its fully serviced with plugs, leads, arm, dizzy, new blue temp and fuel filter etc but its still doing it.

i was thinking of having the injectors ultrasonically cleaned but its over £100 is it worth it or could it be something else?

the mass air flow unit can make them go like that, when myne was going it went juddery, also if you have a highlift cam they can go bit juttery aswell, myne dont like to go to slow untill its warm.

maybe injector seals poss sucking in air??

maf is (mass air flow sensor) if you look at the engine look to the air box your see a electrical plug about 2" long thats what you need to unplug
