Title: seat belts. with pre ignitors blown
Post by: mercedes190d on 18 December 2011, 06:24
hi has anyone changed the pre ignitors on mk4 golf front seat belts?
if so how complicated is it?

i have a set of anniversary ones, that i want to change.
no idea what star type tool is needed to remove off the side of seatbelt. i have tried all my torx, allen keys and none fit. never had a bolt like this before. located on the side of the base of the seatbelt pre ignitor.

have searched the forums but no luck

thanks for any info.

If its a 12point head it will be a spline bit, some call it a triple square

arent torx drivers 5 points?

sure when i had the trim off around my seat belts i only say torx drivers, tbh i can only think of about 4 screws in the whole interior of the car that arent t20 torx
