Title: Thrust bearing needing done...
Post by: 5aq1b on 16 December 2011, 15:07
hey guys - any chance anyone with access to the ETKA can help me in getting a part number for a thrust bearing for a Golf Mk5, 2005 plate 2.0 TDi 140bhp?

Went to buy the part today but the bloke at the parts store was having trouble finding the part.

Was also told that it's recommended that the clutch is replaced while the mechanin is down in that part of the car as well - true?  If so - any chance of a part number?

Always end up being unsure if i manual search on euro car parts for these type of parts as I dont wanna end up buying the wrong thing!

I would definatley change the clutch and preasure plate as wel as the thrust bearing, makes sense, you dont want to go through the expense and trouble of stripping the car down again in a few months due to the clutch plate or preasure plate going?
