Title: 1986 engine swap

hi i have an 86 MKII 8v right now and i want to put a vr6 engine in it's place. what vr6 engine would be best/easiest? is this a difficult swap and what else would need to be changed? thanks everyone for your help.

A MK3 Golf would be the best donor. What needs changing? just about everything! (loom, cooling, brakes, suspension, la, la, la). You get the idea.

I wouldn't advise cutting corners and leaving the brakes and suspension with the power and weight hike you may find it a bit lairy when it comes to hauling on the ancors in a hurry :D

Someone else will have better answers than me though :)

Vr6 in a mk2 is quite a common conversion now, will cost you sh!t loads!
