My MK3 has started developing a strange squealing/rubbing sounds from the breaks, I've had them off and they do nOt look warped or scored. It has only just started happening. Could it be a wheels bearing, the sound is morenoticible when breaking and at low speed.
Either that or I was thinking a sticking calliper.
Can anyone shEd a light on this :)
Thanks

How new are the pads/discs? had them changed recently? was copper grease applied when they were done?
Rare but possible stone or some grit wedged between a pad and a disc?

A sticking caliper will usually cause that particular wheel to get hot so check that next time. You sure, cause ypu notice it at low speeds its just not surface rust on the discs caused by the salt on the road. Usually heard when first setting off but usually clears itself up. My car is like this every morning recently.

Give a run (trying not to use the brakes much) and see when you get back if any wheels are hot if so you have a caliper sticking.
