whats the smallest diameter wheel you can have with 280mm brakes?
-
15"
its worth noting that as if you get a flat u either need a 15" space saver of you will have to swop a wheel around (which ive done in the past lol)
-
if i got a set of these what discs whould i have to order ie: g60 vr6??
oh and would you run normal mk1 pads?? rob
-
you will need 280mm G60 disks
and std mk1 gti pads
-
sweet, me brake discs need changing ! have you any left to sell?
-
i should have them in about 7 days
ill keep you posted
-

-
Yeah, don't forget me
-
ill make a call now
-
Any ideas if they can be fitted to a mk2 8v ?
-
these ones wont fit a mk2...but i will be looking at a kit that will
-
how do! do you know when you will have these spacers?
-
im hoping for the end of this week.
-
good good!
-
Just to add my little brick here. I had similar spacers with 280 G60 rotors and the braking was 10 times better than before.
One suggestion though. See if you can create some for the MK1 but with the Girling G54 calipers. They are so much better than the standard MK1s. I've tried this setup and with a 22mm MC and rear discs from a MK2 with MK4 calipers.

have you got them yet mate?

Does anyone know if clipper brakes are the same as gti? ie will these work on a clipper? If so i'll take a set when you can get them.

I have been watching this thread but have gone another route and got a set of these adapters.
I contacted this guy on ebay and he still has some left. £65 including P&P from the states. Unlike some adapters these are for G60 calipers and don't use the standard MK1 caliper.

Look the same as these to me:

There is also a more expensive version:

Got mine this week and look perfect apart from the £14 customs charge
Hope this helps some of you wanting to upgrade your brakes
