as above , seen this and wondered wether this would maybe be a cheap copy.

interesting thread rich, i must never bothered to have clicked on that one.
i totally agree with nick though, off the shelf chinese stuff can be sh!t, they just need a little going over to make sure all is o.k.
china has come a long way in manufacturing recently, they are not quite spot on yet but not far off. i remember working for a titanium manufacturer who used to make turbine parts for big passenger aircraft companies and china was their biggest competition. i remember in a brief one of the managers saying, "china was their biggest competition, our QC is better but china are catching up very fast".
i know this post is about a "usa" turbo but it`s probably just a label stuck on..lol

is there a difference in chassis types, noticed that this on does the golf 1j1, im sure mine is just a 1j ?

1j is 1j wether it 1j0 or 1j1
its basically the mk4 platform, i.e golf mk4, octavia mk1, leon mk1 ect

thanks m8, just that there a section on the page and i put my care details in and it said it wouldnt fit (wtf) lol , im sure al ko3s would be a direct bolt on replacement without havin to mess abbout with oil lines etc
