look at these seats. wish they were an option on the GTI. i had these in my clio 197 and they're great. really light too.
only thing is they're really hurt your back after a couple of hours and the fabric bolsters wear out VERY quickly, they creak and moan (from the metal frame inside the back rest) after a few miles but i learned how to sort these issues eventually!
they look class with the GTI fabric though

That looks awesome!

Although they look the dogs danglies in the Jacara cloth in all honesty they don't look all that comfortable as there seems to be a lot less padding than on the normal GTI seats.
-
I thought these were an option on the mk5 GTI for a short period ?......... :undecided:
-
I have seen r32 with them fitted in leather before so maybe they were.
-
Buckets were an option, though they were versions of the CS. I had them in my R32. Only leather or normal cloth though were an option.
redrobin got his done

Delicious! Bet they cost a fortune!
-
Depends. Second hand around £1000. Something like £1100 each from VW though.
It was a £2000 option iirc
-
Oft 2 grand to sit yer arse on a nice looking seat! No thank you VW!
-
They were not even that great, yes beneficial cornering, but nothing special for long journeys. If you have a 3 door then dont bother!
My R32 ones

those recaro seats are not that great i had them in my f1 clio, the side of the seat is weak and they will rip the balls of you getting in and out !
-
i never had that problem on mine. just the fabric on the bolster wearing thru from getting in and out
-
I had seats like that when i had my RS4, not that great. They wore badly on the side bolster, and wernt that great on long journeys. Wish i had the normal Recaros by the end.
Although they do look great

Agree, look at the two left bolsters, you can see the creases where the passenger one has been rubbed from people getting out. My one was obviously untouched.
