Hi all,
I have a 2000 2.0l GTI MK4 and I've noticed that my bulbs are getting dangeriously dim when driving home at night. So instead of replacing them with standard bulbs I thought I'd replace them with something brighter which I believe is referred to as a HID?
My headlamps are factory standard so what will I need? I dont quite understand the difference between a H1 and H2 bulb for example.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, J.

I wouldn't bother with the HID's to be honest as although they are good they are becoming illegal and could likely get yourself handed a fine. You can get improved halogen bulbs which are not far off HID intensity without the hassle. I'm sure your golf is H1 fitment if i remember correctly.
