Tune it to drop D, and learn everlong by Foo Fighters. Very rewarding to play! There are plenty of tutorials on the tube!

chilli peppers - cant stop, it gets you used to skipping between strings. once that has been mastered the intro to aweet child o mine surprisingly easy aswell, once your used to skipping between strings fairly quick,

Don't you need a tuner for a drop D? Which I haven't got
And I've seen many videos but I can't physically sit and watch videos. Run before walking etc
I'll have a gander at the chillis... I've got an 'ultimate tabs' app and it's proving useful

Then how do you know you're in tune anyway?
-
Just tune the bottom E the same as the D string(3rd from bottom). And by the way, the bottom one is the biggest one.

I don't... But I can still ask to find out no?

Thanks, guess I can just tune (to a fashion) by ear :-)

Learn some jamming basics, like the 12 bar blues and chords I V vi IV in E major. Then you can play most songs ever written.

Yes, lol, but how will you know you're in drop D then? You might now be in drop C#........ :smug:

You can get chromatic tuners for next to nothing anyways... pretty essential, especially for beginners.
-
Can get them for iPhone as well

Honestly, you can't go wrong from learning from YouTube legend "SoloDallas"
