Difficult when you are driving the car on gritted roads for 4 hours.

Do it when you get home. I never had a problem . Have you tinted your rear window. :undecided:

taking the wiper off is a noooo chance in the winter. hate grit! i like to know who's following me :smug:

I guess you have never done a long journey in the winter, say on a wet motorway; occasionally its very important to see who that may be sat in that car behind you..
Look for the fix guide on mk-ivs.net, for leaking rear wiper. That may still work for you. Or, I am pretty sure you can but that bit seperate but will require taking motor apart to fix.

look in front of you. Dont worry about hows up your ar?e . I turned my rear view mirrow up so i cant see ( dont let them make you race. Been there, done it, poor things get killed) RIP poor car/ fox . When you reverse look behind you ,dont use the mirrow.

I was lucky, got my motor from the local scrappie, was off an Audi and it wipes the opposite way to normal, but I'm not complaining for the sake of £15.
