Well after 11 years of driving her, :cool:
I have purchased a newer car and took the GTI off the road, :cry:
I have put in 4 a council garage now as dont want her rottin on the drive :angry:
Just gotta decide what i want 2 do with her now,

Can you put a car port on the house, that would be good?
Shame its off the road though, why the change?
Im in a similar predicament, garaged the GTi for the winter, allowing for some other jobs to be done, but bought an old classic impreza turbo for a play in the mean time. Now I really like it too, are three cars too many?

S'all about the weekend cars though. Got a Beetle and bought the Golf as the 'reliable daily' - it's now about to get it's third engine and is a project :lipsrsealed:
Misses's Lupo for the daily duties :laugh:

Im thinkin of strippin it all down an havin all the rust took out an repainted ,
But not sure what sort of task i am facing :sad:

Thats a good priority, once done it assures any further work is on a solid car. But it's difficult to see the full extent till the plastic trims are stripped down a bit

My mk2 abf in vgc gets used all year round, hammered wind rain or shine. No back seats to allow for sds drills, toolbags, boots etc. Brilliant all year round, apart from on rough sites where being slammed can be an issue, and the snow being plowed, and lack of grip. I'd like maybe a van for the winter, and the mk2 all other times.. True dubber- none of this part time 1/3 malarchy!!

I have 3 cars 2 Vw Golfs, 1 Saab :cry: for the greyhound :grin: and sometimes feel it is too many, but then i get in the mk2 and take it for a drive and there is no way i can bring myself to sell it after all the cash and work that has gone in to her for someone else to enjoy, will have a garage soon and then i can play with her even more, cant wait....
