i did my heater matrix recently, and rebuilt the foam in the airbox, i now have heat but when i adjust the settings to cold on the dash i still get heat, plus there doesnt seem to be loads of air going to the dash vents, despite the fact i know i connected everything up (ie all the ducting) so have i put the flaps in the wrong way in the airbox, or connected the flaps to the cables incorrectly?
any ideas?
thanks

You need to recheck the cables are connected on the back of the dash, likely the one has become detached!

how do you mean thom, the cable into the selector mechanism (the bit at the top) or the cable as it clips into the airbox housing at the bottom with those annoying clips?
-
I'd check them both pal.

i done heater matrix the other day and had that exact problem thom. not much else can go wrong tbh mate

Both slider controls should have a little resistance when operated, If the COLD..===...............................HOT moves too easily, then the cable, or the outer has become detached at the back iirc you can pop the slider control unit from the front of the dash, hopefully, its that end that needs fixing, otherwise you're going to have to get the kit out again

they have resistance, thats the problem, its def moving stuff, just getting cold when i move the lever, so i recon the airbox cant be directing the flaps properly. Will check the dash end first, am dreading having to do the other end, that was a right pain

Does the slider have too much resistance? It could be hooked up on something...
