Can anyone tell me if the Cowling for the rad and fan is the same on 8v and 16v cars please?

The 8v has a bigger rad, I put an 8v rad on my 16v turbo when I originally did the conversion, I can't remember if I changed the cowling but the rad is definitely bigger...

They are the same, I transfered a 8v fan cowling to my 16v rad.

No the rads are not the same, the cowling may be....
16v Rad is 430mm

is the fan motor the same pal ?
Rad is fine ill use the biggest version aslong as the cowling is the same.. its for my Caddy 20vt project

Yeah pretty sure the fans are the same, connector plugs may be slightly different though but not a big deal to sort out if they are.
(Seem to remember there being two and three pin plugs)
Sam are you sure you have got a 16v Rad? It was Vince at Stealth who originally recommended I put an 8v Rad in and you've got their old 16 VT demo car...

Yes I'm certain that the spare rad that my mate had was from an 8v, and I swapped the cowling across with the fan in place onto my rad or the other way round, either way its irrelivent. However I cannot say weather they are the same rad sizes as tomp has pointed out.

Wooaaa just realised who you are Tomp haha, I have the same conversion on my car so there is a possability that I have an 8v rad too...
as per usual round here, the plot thickens.... :laugh:

The cowling is my main concern, along as thats the same, ill purchase a new 8v rad..
