Title: Festive Warning - Roast Chestnuts!

Sat here fooling around on internet and there's a loud percussion BOOM! from the kitchen, run through and the oven is on, stood scratching my head and another BOOM! comes from the oven!  Seems GF has put some Chestnuts in there.  Turn oven off and as I lift tray out another one goes BOOM! in my face!  Stood there with bits of frickin shell and chewy sh!t all over me.  Not happy. 
Covered baking tray with a saucepan lid, another BOOM! sends that up in the air!!!!!
20 seconds on line and recipes all say to score them through shell.

We'll laugh about it one day.

Yeah, just score a cross into the top, otherwise they go BOOM!
