Title: Central 'consloe' completly removed, repaired and miraculosly reasembled
Post by: ijaure on 10 May 2005, 09:35
I recently removed all the plastic pieces, around the gear stick and the handbrake, in order to fix several things ( the backseat drink hoister, the handbrake (it needed more strength and find that one of the bolts that fix its base had gone off ), the tissue around the gearstick), some intense cleaning and finally and most important to prevent some vibrations and movements caused by some internal broken pieces that the official VW wasn't able to repair (except of course replacing the whole set)

this post is just to help anyone that now or in the future is planning to do something like this

just write me

ONE ADVICE:  be VEEEEEERRRY careful when removing the pieces! there are several joints that will easily brake, the last owner or his garage had done it incorrectly and that was what caused the vibration
