How many "friends" do you have on there? I'm not talking about if you use it to organise sh!t or it's a business tool, I mean your own personal facebook page.
I've had, and possibly still have some people that have hundreds (some have thousands) of "friends" but really. What the f**k is the point? Do you speak to each and every one of them? If you say yes you are a lying pirate hooker.
I don't get it, why have all these people as "friends"? I'm just going to look forward to the wave of new incoming "friends" that just want to be a bunch of nosey tw@ts and see what I look like. Well f**k em.

I have 436 buy a lot of them are people who add me so they can tag themselves in pics of their cars or random people from car clubs/forums. Only about 35 people on there do I chat to all the time and then about another 50 I keep track on what they're up to.

205, got a few clients on there that have added me (some I consider friends now), lots of family and some I don't even know/remember/not met/not seen in 20 years since a large portion moved to Oz/USA, a number of forum peeps from here, ex-colleagues and some close friends.
Speak to maybe 20 - 30 people regularly.

I refuse to be part of this, put your whole life on the internet for all to browse mentality. Nobody f*cking cares if you've just clipped your toenails, or if you're depressed because you missed the only way is essex. Nobody wants to view pictures of you covered in vomit after an "AWESOME" night out. Nobody wants to know that you have 10972918726 friends on facebook, or that you're f*cking level 100 on that sh*tty farm animal game.
And WHY do people pay real money for pictures of burgers and presents to send to their friends!??!? Here's a crazy idea.. No, let's go all out, heres two!
1) Buy your friends a real burger.
2) Copy the image (CTRL and C) then open email and paste image (CTRL and V) and send the email to your friend. There you've saved money.
ARGH.

i have had a facebook account for years, back when everyone had myspce, i put up with so much sh!t t work for being on it, but the fact is it saved me a fortune, most of my mates are away on ships and rigs for months at a time and im not so much of a woman that i'll ring them up to say hello.
then it got popular, adverts and games got chucked on and now i hate the constant notifications, FARMVILLE WTF?????
currently have 217 friends, and yes i talk to every one of them, any random requests get ignored.
but i think ive found a cure, my mobile now has a link to facebook which updates status with my contacts, so now i just have a stream of updates with none of the crap invites or games

Just block applications & games as they appear never see anything from them ever again.

around 200 ish... i would say 90% are friends. the other 10% are just people i know.
Its a good way to keep intouch with people i cant be arsed to phone.. :cool:

I have 27 facebook friends, and I know every single one :p I don't talk to any of them on facebook though, I use real life for that :grin:

I have 301, deleted a few a while ago, but to be honest I don't take Facebook seriously, I just make random posts every now and then of websites and music haha. Im noy one to post up my life story on there...

In addition to the "facebook being everywhere" thing, I cannot understand why people do not want more privacy in their lives! You wouldn't carry a photo album round with you with private pictures in it and show everyone you met, would you?
I don't know - it just annoys me, the whole facebook mentality. I'm sick of being out and hearing "OMG did you see what she said on facebook?" and "Yeah, well I messaged her because her sisters dog's brothers fiancee posted that they don't like my mate on her wall"

but of that, is my bro and sister, sis in law, bro in law, mom in law, 3 of my closest mates who ive known all my life, and about a douzen work colleagues, the rest are within the cruise/car scene, including companies, etc
mine is mainly used for my car club interaction, obviously alot of people within the car scene are friends as well, but theres alot of people i dont know who but are there for what ever reason
unfortunately its a sad state now that people only really communicate through fb first, how ever did we cope without it... :rolleyes: :lipsrsealed:

I have around 170 and I know everyone of them either from the present or past. Some I may have met online but have met face to face. Only good thing to come out of FB in my opinion!!
Facebook although is generally quite annoying and i'm only on it to keep in touch with people. There is people you know locally and see in the town but talk utter tripe online but you don't want to offend them by deleting them. The beauty of the hidden status update lol. You can really come to a different opinion about people judging by what they post.
My profile is set up in such a way where I cannot get sent pointless notifications from pointless applications and games. Farmville?? If people put so much time and energy into creating a real farm instead of a virtual one they could make there lives almost self sustainable!!
Social networking in general is one of societies evil entities though, especially when everyone has there heads stuck in the iphones and all that. Such unsociable technology because people feel the need to roam these social networks while in the presence of actual real people. It all begun at the invention of the text message. Was good at the time but people don't relise the possible destruction. If all this technology collapsed tommorow and we went back to communicating via landlines it wouldn't be so bad. I would cope anyway.

bout 300 i went to school with so are pretty good mates with, the other couple of hundred are people ive met on nights out/the other halfs mates/family that i never really talk to tbh.

i've got a little over 660, had nearly 900 but deleted a bunch of goons and losers, i know all of them personally, but wouldn't consider them all friends, it's useful to have people you know on there as getting in contact is hard, the people in my phonebook are who i truly class as freinds and family

I meet my friends down the pub on a Thursday, been doing it for years.
My misses has Facebook, farmville and cafe world and clicks things all night long, she gets gifts of homo purple fish frogs and stuff which keeps her happy :smiley:
I cant make the pub next Thursday but we agreed last time we would meet on the 22nd, how does facebook make this easier?
I have a mobile phone if i need to speak with anyone in a hurry, and i have GolfGTI.co.uk if I want to talk or read bollox :grin:

I'm not on Facebook either. Too many of my mates have come unstuck with Facebook and I don't want all and sundry knowing everything about me! I just do things the old fashioned way and phone or text my mates :smiley:

Could never be ar5ed with friendface as I felt like most who hate it... I caved this year when I got sick of not being able to see things that I was part of.

Now I have a phone that makes it less of a chore I use it quite a bit as the direct photo upload is handy, only "friends" with actual friends, family or a select few from here. :cool:

I have 402 friends on FB, I'd say there's only 10 people that I've never met.
I like FB, I use it to find new bands to listen to and follow them, as well as plan stuff with mates.
It's easier than texting/phoning.
Plus I can always see what happened the night before if I can't remember.

209 people, all of whom I have met and had meaningful conversations with.
The only person on FB who I hadn't ever met for ages was Jay. Finally met him a couple of months ago.
My application and game block list is a long one. :grin:
At the end of the day, it's a tool and it can be good fun.
