Title: Sticky gearchange help needed
Post by: SMcNairn on 10 December 2011, 19:25
My mk4 now has a sticky gear change. It no longer springs back to neutral when required. This makes selecting gears more tricky as going from 2nd to 3rd is no longer just as simple. Also coming out of reverse, and selecting 1st, you have to make sure that you are no longer still in 1st.

Looked back over many pages of topics but havnt seen anyone else ask about such a problem.

Any ideas whats causing this?

There must be a spring sticking somewhere . Its a weird feeling when the gear stick does not spring back to a neutral position.
