Title: Parking spots in a flat car park?
Post by: chrisenglish on 07 December 2011, 09:57
So  I Wake up this morning to check my car for any defects again that may fail the MOT, and i see this bit of paper on the window, i thought it was a bit of rubbish at first, however it turns out to be this...
The car park has only 3 numbers round the back where i was parked and that is 5,6 and 7. im number 8... and the spot next to number 7 is always taken by a sh!tty 53 plate fiesta.. so i wrote my own note, "If my spot is number 8 and someone has parked in it for the 2-3 months i have been here i will park in the nxt slot. Now when the spot after the camper(Number 7) stays free i shall park in that, but again if someone parks in that i am not parking at the end or on the street which i often do in my parents car when i have a spot here. Thank you!" then at the side i put " PS Please do not litter my car! :( " hehe what would you guys do or say? - i dont even know who put this on my car (original note) btw my note is quite big, and erm noticeable

Then it just ends up being a Domino effect, dont blame whoever lives at 7. Why don't you find out who's parking in your space? Is it permit parking? If it is then ring council. And leaving a reply like that will only cause more botger, go knock on door and talk

aww :P your no fun, but i dont know who put it there. i dont know who parks in "my" spot, and usually where i parked is empty, and its private land not council, only thing i could do is ring the owner of it to put signs on the parking bays

You've gone about this the wrong way.  Rather that pi55 off the other car parkers you should sort it out with the person in your space.

If it's private land, and the space has been designated / allocated to your house then inform the perp that you will sue them for tresspass.

I believe since this is all private land, tax does not affect the situation? the car that parks in my spot however is used and moves everyday. and because it is at the side of the flat i cannot see who drives this fiesta.. i dont know who even put the note on my car, however people saw me working on the car yesterday so why wouldnt someone just ask me to move when i was out there :\

Only note i ever get is 'please do not drive so fast coming home'

I was testing out dynolicious

Find out who parks in your space. If its been there ages, ring the council say you think its a stolen/dumped car. Will be taken away for free if its left much longer

Ah Rented.  Check your tenancy for mention of "allocated parking space"

Inform Landlord of problem.  He has to sort it out (If he is freeholder/leaseholder of the land).  If he cannot then at least you can demand a reduction in rent.

Do you actually have numbered spaces or is it just 4 spaces and 4 flats? if there are no numbers its not somebody elses space, they are all everyones spaces as long as you only use 1

find out who the fiesta belongs to, if its someone from one of the 4 flats just park in his space. If it isnt he shouldnt be on private land so tell him to f**k off in the nicest possible way. Or park infront of him

I've left notes like that on car windows before. and parked the f**k*rs in. There is a whole almost unused section for visitors at the bottom of our road and some unused spaces in the residents section. Dipsh!ts still parked in my space so got blocked in. Sometimes they still managed to get out   I'm not the only one to do that either.

contact the landlord to find out which spot is yours and which isn't and ask him to contact the Fiesta owner in bay 7 to move it if it's not their bay.

Park wherever you like.  It's only rented, no one can do anything, and no landlord will care.

Rofl at the replys, na theres no numbers on the parking bays, except 2 of them, which have cars in them all of the time, however the notice inside says 1 car per flat, so to me, and that note, there is no allocated sports, just 1 per car. however i think i annoyed them today along with another neighbour, he was talking to me while cleaning his car and he left a gap between mine and his, taking up a lot of space, and the women who wrote the note (i think) had to park on the street and gave me a dirty look :D she drives a silly mazda, then the fiesta women came back and she gave me a dirty look to i just smiled :) - if they complain again ill just speak to the landlord that owns the ground and ask them to show me where my spot is ect :)!

You've got to laugh though, seriously.

The word is in the middle of a recession.  There are thousands dying from illness and starvation every day.  The planet is taking a horrible beating, global warming is rife and the polar caps are melting.  We're spiralling down a path that has no happy ending and our future generations will have to suffer for the mistakes we're making at the moment.

BUT, you parked is someone else's space, one which is identical to all the others!

Some people just want to watch the world burn...

it wound me up, i know its only a small thing, but to make a deal out of it? you can see in my welcome message, the small picture, is the car park for the flats. no numbers what so ever, no lines or anything, theres room for 10 cars, theres 11 flats, but theres 2 parking places at the front of the flats, so 12 spaces? and she complains about parking a little further away! on a plus note, my new parking spot does have a huge light outside of it! :D so i can work on my mot failed breaks in the light!

Council were brilliant at moving one from my old flat complex, 24 hours notice was all it took and it was off and away, never did find out who's it was.
