Has anyone got a spare Haynes Manual for a 1990 MK2, if so can you let me know how much you would like for it including delivery.

Cheers the advice corrin, but I dont use edonkey due the virus / spyware issue's involved with it.

Just for interest, I have both green and red manuals. They contradict one another in the section on adjusting your CO content (Digifant models). One states to turn the adjusting screw clockwise and the other states turn it anti-clockwise. I was trying to reduce my CO content using the instructions in the green manual and ended up with a CO content of 8.5% (should be 1%). Only realised the mistake when my car was running sh..e and I borrowed my neighbours CO analyser. I bought the red book recently on ebay for about £7.00, it certainly is a lot thinner than the green one.

you wanna try and get that bentley jobby........ been told (think by corrin) far better than haynes, im gonna try and download the bentley stuff tonight.... dunno what for like, but then if any one needs out i can send.......
i used to have a haynes manual, for the mk2 havent a clue where it is... still got my mk4 one... even though alot of the info in it regarding my engine rebuild was INCORRECT!!

wotto, ignition barrels piece of cake make, take off your plastic shrouding and youll then see how easy it is...

There is a mk2 bentley manual on ebay at the moment.
The barrel is a very difficuly/easy job depending on year.
Early models, the barrel will come straight off, on later models, there is a sleeve on the steering column that will need to be removed. This is very difficult to remove without a puller.

Interesting....what exactly is the difference between these two coloured editions please anyone?

yeah mine was on the earlier one i think, i never had to pull a ring off ooo errr!, is it something to do with the later ones with the hazard light on top of the shroud?? what sort is yours wotto?

My hazard switch is on top of the steerring column if thats what you mean gaz?

just remember to put the key in the off position to remove after drilling the hole otherwise you spend hours swearing trying to pull it with the key in the on position and then it takes two seconds in the off position, how do i know that i wonder???

i think the red one is just basically a scaled down edition that caters generally for all models, the green one seems to have more detailed digrams etc and go into some more detail on fault findong and testing etc
