Title: Reburbing Splits (Best Companies)
Post by: Ads on 08 May 2005, 17:42
Hey.

I guess there are many topics on Rebrubing wheels but i couldnt find a sticky so ill start this one.

I have a set of G60 BBs RMs which need a good reburb soon. Ill be replacing the dishes with
new Stainless Steel Dishes so they wont need a reburb, just the centres (where spokes are).

Anyway ideally id like some 'local' companies so thats around East Sussex area. Has anybody had there wheels
refurbed before if so how much does it cost? Ive heard standard refurb is £50.00 just wondering if being spilt rims
it would be more?

Cheers Adam

i got my splits done in lancing, so not far from you. i got them blasted for £10 a wheel and then powder coated for £10 a wheel, including the centre caps etc. they turned out pretty good in my opinion!! i built them up my self.

bought the dishes from volkspeed before they went bust and the centres can be powder coated any colour you want.....within reason. black wouldn't be a problem though. i'll dig out there contact details. they're called the spray shop and are on lancing industrial estate. i'll find their number later

split them and do them yoru self, get the centers powder coated, and the rims polished, bolls can be anodised or chromed and put them back together with tiger grip.
