Title: Canon's new video camera and Vincent Laforet
Post by: DubFan on 04 December 2011, 05:56
Just been reading about this:
Canon Cinema EOS C300 (http://cinemaeos.usa.canon.com/products.php?type=Camera&model=C300) A full HD cinema camera which can take Canon EF lenses.

Looks very nice, obviously out of our price range, but interesting to see the "sample" short films including this one http://vimeo.com/30215350 (http://vimeo.com/30215350) Mobius by Vincent Laforet (the American Philip Bloom) who has a great site and blog about using DSLRs for video.
This guy pretty much started the DSLR for video craze in 2008.
Check out his camera kit here: http://blog.vincentlaforet.com/mygear/cameras/ (http://blog.vincentlaforet.com/mygear/cameras/) Which has example shot with various cameras and lenses. And great videos about rigging a DSLR for video and behind the scenes footage for his films.

Anyway, managed to spend a good hour or two going through his site and videos and thought it might interest some
