In my last topic on this section of the forum (Possible Cylinder Head Gasket Porblem)
I detailed that the car was blowing white smoke, only mildly mind...
It stops doing it if the engine runs for more than 15 mins....
Is this now a major cause for concern? The temp is still fairly high, still above normal.
PS The car is a 1.6 Golf Driver (Mk2 1990)

water or anti freeze burning off giving out white smoke?? :huh:

If the engine starts and runs without misfiring and is not using coolant, I think you are seeing normal water vapour (steam) in the exhaust.

must be condensation. White smoke that dissapears after a while is not worth worrying about. Black or blue smoke is the only real concern.
