Title: Rear engine mount
Post by: emery1990 on 03 December 2011, 10:41
Mines knackered basically, got 3 sheered bolts in it and cannot be asked to get them out! I've heard that the normal 1.8 kr rear mount isn't the one to go for but a 1.3 engine mount? Also can you get the mount that goes onto the engine separately?

Ive got an abf going into a valver.

Haaaa emery
I think its easier to use MK3 mount because the bolt pattern matches the ABF as for the mounting to the the bay you might need some fetting I can't confirm, but I'm sure its easier to mod the mount to the bay than trying to mod the ABF mounting holes to the bracket itself?
Have you compared the two for comparison and worked out exactly whats going to fit nicely?

I'm using the kr metal bracket and kr mount on my abf. I think I've read that the kr + 1.3 use the same mount (different bracket)
