I've got my abf engine been told I need to change the fuel rail injectors for the digi?I found an awesome thread that told me everything but can't find it on my history livid. So anyone now where I can get a rail that will work and what ecu shall I use or will the 8v one do
-
I would assume any 8V fuel rail would work most of them have a metal outlet for the inlet fuel pipe I would use the original ECU that came from the ABF to save you problems further down Not sure if a Digi II would be suitable depends what the whole set up, but the mapps are proberly simular in spec just a few more BHP to cope with the MK3's weight.
You would need to ask someone like Diamond Hell he is our resident ABF guru on here!
I think I have a spare fuel rail somewhere.
I can always post a picture if I find it!

I have the 8 valve fuel rail just wasn't sure if it'll work I don't have the mk3loom so can't use the ecu from that.

Time for scrappy and see if you can source the whole job lot!
I'm sure you want to get all the componets ready before taking it on or even a doner car would be handy!
I think you need to sort out what you can keep so you mix and match componets.
I'm sure the other ABF gurus will help out.

TBH mate my hatred for Mk3's and ABF's is the gap in my databank of knowledge on the subject!
I'm a purist at heart! :lipsrsealed:
Who knows at somepoint when all KR's have gone,
I might have to do one, and ask the same questions over and over
