Title: Window winder problem!
Post by: sesterfield on 07 May 2005, 22:00
My drivers side winder has always been a tad wobbly, however today while winding the window back up i heard a loud CLUNK and now it'll only wind down and wind up!  I've taken off the doorcard and had a poke around but couldnt see anything wrong other than the spindle on the winder is very very wobbly.  I've taped up the gap in my window in case it rains tonight but would like to sort it out ASAP so any advice would be much appreciated :)

Thanks

if you end up swaping the regulator over it's a piece of piss to do. takes about 10 mins in and out.

Looks like I'm gonna have to do that...Is there a way of closing the window without replacing the regulator as a temporary measure?

i would undo the bolts holding the window to the regulator and wedge it up with something long (put one end at the bottom of the inner door and the other on the metal holder attached to the window!!
Dead easy to change as has been said also cheap from gsf so im told!! I have a l8 spec one if ya want one £5.00 lol
