Funny how in the youtube comments he says he'd sell up for 4k and now it's up for 1.2k.

VW produced an electric golf, according to wikipedia, mk3 i think. Poor range as it just used loads of regular car batteries! A long time before the 'current' electric car trend though

Fair play to the guy.. great idea as a second golf.  I certainly couldn't cope with it as my only toy!

Shame it's not being sold complete and running though..

Well that was with the setup he had, it's being sold without batteries so if you're willing to spend a fortune on a better battery setup (which will most likely cost a fortune).  I'm sure you could increase the range.

Can't be any worse than the "hybrids" you see kicking about the place.

The only hybrid I want would be a petrol engine and jet engine... :lipsrsealed:
