Title: First VAG car and newbie :)

Hello everyone,
i bought my first VW about a month ago, its a 1992 Mk3 Golf GTI 8valve.
Signed up to the forum so i can get a bit of knowledge about the car and also it does have a few issues with it so im hoping to post my problems and some of you may help me out rather than paying an over priced garage to tell me what the solution isnt :)
